Read More About JeanneAs higher education rapidly evolves, strong college leadership is critical. We’ve asked Jeanne to provide workshops for our department chairs on critical leadership skills and to consult with college leadership as we effect necessary organizational change. Jeanne’s workshops were extraordinary and impactful, and her advice was critical to moving change forward. Jeanne is deeply knowledgeable and a brilliant communicator. She will be a regular contributor to leadership development and our continued evolution as a college.
An engaging and active-learning workshop, led by an experienced former academic administrator, that paired deans to practice real-life scenarios to come up with solutions that can work at any institution.
Jeanne's years of higher education leadership speaks for itself. She listened and learned about what I needed to develop and evolve as a leader, acknowledging my strengths and motivating me to pursue my capabilities, with genuine wisdom and care.
Excellent Facilitator AND listener! Not usually combined. Good mix of different types of interactions with and between participants.
Very impressed with presenter's ease in dealing with the various questions. Good answers, and great information that I can use, not just with faculty.
I was quite impressed with Dr. Hey. Her insights and her leadership of our discussions was quite effective throughout the day. Because of her skill, I found this one of the most productive workshops that I have attended. She did a great job drawing on her own experience in offering advice, but, at the same time, responding deftly to comments and questions from participants.
It wasn't boring! Dr. Hey's delivery style was perfect. She provided good information and kept a nice pace. Too often workshops can drag or the content seems irrelevant. Not in this case--Dr. Hey was fabulous.
This was great. Such a catalyst for introspection! So much useful advice. Now I have a clearer picture of the “rules” of engagement, how I can better hone in on what goals I should have for my department and self. I also appreciate the broadening of my perspective when I see the different challenges of my larger school peers. Thanks!
I very much liked Jeanne’s directness, her efficient “no-nonsense” approach. She was respectful of the fact that she, of course, could not possibly know all the ins and outs of our university. Yet, she did not shy away from offering her opinions (on a bit more general level) when asked.
Hey makes the tangle of tasks, vision, and obligations plain. She is very good at reading the territory, and clearly is interested in views from the floor/table. She is a good listener.
Kudos to Jeanne for a polished, information-rich delivery with no wasted time or verbal tics.
